Really Valentino Rossi is the man on form and if not for his age no one would have even doubted his renewal. Pre-Assen Jorge Lorenzo said that the main hold up in his renewing with Yamaha was "economical." If he's looking for a bigger paycheck I'm thinking that he's going to have to go somewhere else. I wouldn't be surprised if they are seriously considering dropping him and giving one of the Espagaro bros. a shot. I would probably give Aleix a one year contract (everyone wants to see what he can do on factory bike), keep Pol in the Tech 3 Squad for one more year in case Aleix doesn't work out. Then Jorge could go to Ducati (paycheck) or Honda (opportunity). Honda still hasn't signed Pedrosa and I am betting Cal Crutchlow is looking to use the exit clause in his 2 year contract. Pedrosa has been rumored to be talking to Suzuki. There's still a lot of shuffling that could happen even though silly season was though to be pretty much done.
Moto3 is the shit right now insane racing going on there and Marquez does seem quite capable of filling the Rossi void when he inevitably retires. But the MotoGP races have been great this year even with the same winner each race has been different and hardly processional. 2016 with all bikes on the same playing field and Michelin rubber the apple-cart will definitely be upset. Plus the prospect of LCR running two bikes and MarcVDS coming to the big show would help too. Lets push some of these bush-league teams out and make those two changes happen too.
